15 months.....

My baby will be 15 months tomorrow. She talks ALL THE TIME but we love it. She says "hi" to anyone she sees anywhere we go. She can walk but won't just take off & go so it's only 4-5 steps for now. She eats pretty much anything but not wanting veggies lately. She absolutely LOVES our lab, Paisley & yells her name when she comes in the house. Paisley is so good to just let her "love" on her & crawl all over her. She gets super excited when we walk into church cause she knows she is going to bible class. She still loves her baths. She has an Elmo who has his own bathtub & brush you use to wash him with & she always wants to play with that in the tub. She loves her grandparents & calls each of them by their "name". The other day we saw a lady who had the same color hair as my mom & she started yelling out GaGa. It was pretty cute. Macy & Jaylen finally play together & it's fun to watch them. They always have a good time swiping toys back & forth from each other. We love her so much & can't imagine life without her but she's just growing up too fast!

Valentine's weekend stuff.....

Gavan & I went out on a real date on Friday night. We almost had forgotten what that was so we thought it was time! Nana & Papa came to keep Jaylen while we were gone & she had a blast, of course. We ate at Vito's, which is a small Italian place on May. The food was yummy and we got out of there just before the huge rush of 90 reservations flooded the place......they had 192 reservations for Saturday night too! Then we headed to QSM to see Slumdog Millionaire, which was a really good movie. About 45 minutes into it I leaned over & told Gav that I didn't like it but then it got better. The reason I was having a hard time with it is because the way those kids were living is SO real & it just really hit me that people really live in the slums in this world and it's awful. Really made me think how truly grateful I am for the life I have. But like I said, it was a great movie.

On Saturday, Gavan gave me beautiful flowers when he came home from his b-ball game at church & then Jaylen attended her first birthday party! Chelsea turned 1 and we had a great time celebrating it with the Picker's! The girls were so cute playing together and at one point I was walking Jaylen across the room & Chelsea walked over, grabbed Jay's hand & walked with her.......it was so cute. They are going to be great friends! Then we made a trip to Target & headed down to see Clay, Vanessa & Cooper. After visiting them for a while, we all decided to grab Chick-fil-A for a romantic dinner! It was a great day that we got to spend all together. Those days don't happen very often anymore & I loved it!

I'm so very thankful for Gavan. He is a wonderful Christian husband, father, leader & provider. My life is truly blessed because of him. He is my rock & my best friend & I would not change a thing! Love you Gavan! Hope you all enjoyed your Valentine's Day with your sweetie!

I didn't take any pics from this weekend but here is one of my fav pics of us from 2005.

Just stuff......

Well, we've been back & forth offering & counter offering on a house & hopefully tomorrow we'll have it! We'll probably close on both houses the same day, March 25th, so I've already started packing a few boxes. Just 1 or 2 a day while I've got time. I know if I don't that I'll be super stressed right before moving day. And after packing just a few boxes with a toddler around......it's going to be FUN!

I can't believe that we are starting the 2nd week of February! So crazy how the year flies by. And did I really dig out a pair of flip flops to wear to the grocery store yesterday as well as go to the zoo on Friday ?! That's Oklahoma weather for you.
Some zoo pics.....

Bye Bye Barclay Rd.....

After 37 flyers, 15 days on the market, 5 showings, and 1 offer...........WE SOLD OUR HOUSE! That's right folks. We are going to have to say bye bye to Barclay Rd. We sold it to a great young couple from church (who we didn't know before but do now!) and will close in late March. We haven't decided on a house for ourselves yet but hopefully will be finding one soon!

God has truly answered our prayer to allow our house to sell as quickly & smoothly as it did! Now I'm off to house hunt online........I'm never going to get to sleep tonight....too excited!
