Memorial Day Fun....

We enjoyed our Memorial Day with a busy day spent with friends. First we went to the zoo with the Pickers. It was hot but fun.....Jaylen ended up without her shorts on (diaper leaked out), we saw lots of animals including the "wrestling" turtles, enjoyed our lunch by the lake, fed the geese and got to ride the carousel. Once the carousel actually got started the girls really enjoyed it but they didn't like sitting there waiting for everyone to get on. Then we came home for a nap before we went to our cookout/pool party. Jaylen loved the water last summer but loves it even more now. She didn't like being in a life jacket or her boat for too long......she just wanted to kick her legs & splash in the water with Gavan. She's pretty fearless in the water so hopefully she'll learn to swim quickly! Overall, it was a great day!

Here we go again....

Yep, just call me Fertile Myrtle. We are excited to be expecting another baby but can't believe that Jaylen is going to be the older sibling! I'll be 9 weeks on Tuesday & so far everything is going good. I've seen my doctor & we have seen the heartbeat so that makes us feel more comfortable. Looks like it's going to be a very exciting Christmas as I'm due on December 29th! Please just keep all 4 of us in your prayers! We are praying for a healthy baby & a full-term pregnancy with no bed rest!!!

18 months.....

The past year & a half has completely flown by. Jaylen is turning into a big girl quickly. She's become obsessed with my camera so I haven't been able to take many pictures of her lately. Anytime I get it out, she just wants to hold it & play with it. She has been loving getting to play outside in this nice weather. You know its time to get some outside toys when her favorite thing to do outside is take dog food across the yard to Paisley....piece by piece. Pretty cute though!

Here's a few pics to recap the last few weeks....

No, I'm not trying to potty-train her but she's always interested when we go so we got her a potty to see what she would do with it. Here she is showing me her first peepee in the potty like a big girl! She went the first time we put her on it!

Spring Program at Sonshine School......the babies do a "fashion show" & she just stood there like this the whole time they talked about her.

Playing with bubbles in mommie's classroom during the open houseJust had to have the paci & blankie for some reason...

This is how she entertained herself while we set up for the garage sale! She was soaked but loved every second of it.

I let her wear her backpack into school the other day......then I could barely get her to take it off. She looks like such a big girl....

For Suzanne.....

Here's a couple pages from the inside of my planner that were requested. There is also a page for phone numbers, birthdays, websites & passwords, 2009 & 2010 at a glance, 2009 & 2010 holidays. After each month's green page, there are several To Do pages that easily tear out if you need them too. I'm enjoying it & there are so many designs to choose from for the cover!

there are several of these after each month page.....

Mother's Day....

We went to Gavan's parents for Mother's Day & it was nice to see everyone....it had been a while. Jaylen stayed Saturday night with Bev & Dennis, while we went to Fayetteville, so it worked out nicely to celebrate there & bring her home. As always, she had a great time. Gavan gave me these beautiful flowers, Stargazer Lilies, and a new planner....I suggested it & he remembered! Paper Blessings has such cute stuff.....check her out!

These blooms were HUGE and I love them!

State Champions.....

Yes, Coach Gunselman did it! CAC beat Harrison in the state championship game 6-2. We drove to Fayetteville for the game, celebrated with them a little bit and then drove home. It was a long day but worth it! I'm so glad we all got to be there to watch him win his first state title! It was lots of fun watching him & the team celebrate after a great win. Way to go Doug! The group after the win....

Free KFC.....

If you missed Oprah yesterday, go to this link, http://www.oprah.com/article/oprahshow/20090430-tows-kfc-coupon-download, and print of a coupon (or several) for a free meal at KFC! But hurry cause I think it will be unavailable after midnight tonight!

They are headed to State.....

Yep, staying another night in Little Rock to watch Doug's team play was well worth it. They were huge underdogs but pulled off a 3-2 win yesterday! The game was really exciting & we had lots of fun. Way to go Coach Gunselman! (that's what I have to call him when we're around Little Rock!) Now they play for the State title in Fayetteville on Saturday. Are we going? Definitely. Doug & the team says Gavan is their good luck charm....

State semi-finals....

It stopped raining enough for the field to sort of dry out & Doug's team (he's a head baseball coach) got to play their game today. They won in an extra inning by 2 runs, which means they play tomorrow at noon, which means we are staying another night! We really didn't want to drive through a ton of rain tonight & get home at 2 in the morning anyways so it worked out nicely. Now we get to hang out the D & D a little more & hopefully see the Mustangs get into the state championship!

It's raining, it's pouring.....

Seriously, we've been in Little Rock for 24 hours now & it has been raining for about 20 of them & is not showing any signs of stopping anytime soon. Doug's baseball team did get to play & win their first game in the state tournament before it started yesterday but today's game got cancelled.

Dixie & I made a stop at the children's boutique where she works today to shop a little & also hit Target without ANY KIDS! We kind of didn't know what to do with ourselves! Always a good time shopping & being able to carry on a conversation with a friend! We came home to see all 3 kiddos (ages...29 months, 17 months, & 8 months) playing with their daddies.....yes, the house was a complete mess but full of fun.

Well, we're off to play a competitive game of Scene It? Squabble, which is guys against girls! Dixie & I have won the last couple times we've played so the guys are trying to get a win.

Bring it on, Doug & Gavan!
